This paper deals with the design of an H-infinity observer-like filter for discrete-time descriptor systems characterized by implicit nonlinear state and output equations. It is assumed that the nonlinear functions in both equations are locally Lipschitz. The filter design is cast as a convex optimisation problem involving a set of linear matrix inequalities subject to a linear equality constraint. The effectiveness of the approach is illustrated with a numerical example.
