Session: Pediatric Rehabilitation: Novel Devices and Interventions

Abstract

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), through the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR), supports basic, translational, and clinical research to enhance the health, independence, and quality of life of people with physical disabilities. NCMRR supports programs and priorities in rehabilitation devices and technology, and research that addresses key lifespan transitional issues, such as the physical and developmental transition from adolescence to early adulthood. In this mini-symposium, Dr. Cruz will highlight programs within NIH that support pediatric rehabilitation engineering.
