Abstract

This paper proposes changes to the Asymptotic identification method (ASYM): the use of high order models of different PEM structures with an optimal order, aiming to improve the numerical stability and the quality of the obtained models. Some changes are also proposed for the Error Bound Validation method, with the estimation of the model quality index as a function of the frequency, to allow a better evaluation of the identified models and to provide an easier diagnostic of problems in the identification procedure for a better design of reidentification experiments. Finally, an industrial benchmark is identified to illustrate the use of the proposed alterations.
