We designed a cellphone motion tracking system based on visual-inertial coupled Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), which was used to drive a game for motion training. Users' movements of arms are captured to drive a circle on a tablet screen to catch a ball as it reaches one of four random holes at the screen corners. Pilot validation testing demonstrated the potential of the presented system for training and improving upper-limb movements.
