Abstract

Background: It is expected that medical information sharing, work efficiency improvement, and quality will be improved utilizing smart devices owned by medical staff. In addition, if you analyze various data integrated by Internet of Things (IoT), there is a possibility that it can be used for abnormality notification system and failure prediction system. On this study, we consider constructing a system to push notification of alarm information of medical device log data to smart device. Methods: A gateway using a single board computer received log data of the ventilator and saved it in log database server. Then it sent it to push notification system and notified each user's smart devices. Results: A gateway got 13 types of configuration information, 7 types of operational status and 19 types of alarm information. Alarm information was binary information in string type of NORMAL and ALARM. This data acquisition time and unique ID of devices were added to these 39 types of information, and that sent to a log database server. Notification application uses messaging application of smart devices, and push notification in chronological order. Conclusion: We constructed a push notification system from log data. However, when multiple medical devices are used for a single patient, it is expected that medical staff will receive many notices. We must consider effective notification methods.
