Abstract

Smart activity tracker is a promising tool for managing health of older adults but its feasibility for research and health programs is unclear. A secondary data analysis of a smart activity tracker dataset was performed to assess the adherence and its relationship with technology acceptance. Participants wore the device in average 93.6% of the time and its level was sustained for 3 weeks. The technology acceptance was not correlated with the adherence level. The high adherence level demonstrated the high feasibility of smart activity trackers for research and health programs.
