Abstract

This study aims to develop a finger motion identification method that helps in communicating with persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. An electromyography (EMG) band and accelerometer sensor were used to measure finger motion. The result shows that the combined approach of EMG and motion sensor can improve identification performance.
