Abstract

In this work, a classifier is proposed to diagnose atrial fibrillation, which is one of the arrhythmias that most cause death in the world. The proposed classifier is based on a statistical analysis of the amplitude variability of the electrocardiogram signal using kurtosis and obtained sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 88.33% and accuracy of 91.33%.
