Abstract

Morphology of pulses on continuous blood pressure waveforms is used as indicators of disease progression as well as signal quality indices. We studied progressive and transient changes in arterial waveform pulse morphology during hemorrhage to understand the potential of physiologically relevant pulse morphology changes to be incorrectly discriminated as bad quality pulses.
