In this investigation, a sliding mode controller was designed and implemented to regulate temperature in an enclosed space. The system was represented by a 18R13C lumped parameter model. Initially, the model was evaluated in a simulation and tuned with experimental data. The Monte Carlo method was used, in order to simplify, and later calculate, the equilibriums and main parameters. Finally, the controller was design and tested in a reduced-scale model.
