A distributed predictive control strategy including a fuzzy layer is presented in this work. The control strategy is based on a multi-agent distributed model and it is applied to the four coupled tanks benchmark. The fuzzy inference is used in order to determine the final control action, i.e. the negotiation between the agents. In this work, the influence of the fuzzy inference over the distributed control strategy is analyzed, taking into account the sets size and user requirements.
