This report examined the heart rate measurement accuracy of a typical consumer electronic wrist device. By the comparison with Holter ECG recordings, it has been shown that the long-term trend measurement is quite accurate and the diurnal heartrate rhythm analysis is possible for the research purpose. For the frequency analysis. VLF power estimation may be feasible while LF and HF analyses need further improvement.
