Unobstrusive and Wireless Electronic Oscillometric Sphygmomanometer for Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

This paper presents the design of an ambulatory blood pressure monitor aiming to reduce patient discomfort caused by obstrusive cabling. By relying on a small footprint design and the integration of bluetooth low energy (BLE) technology, the device will be worn directly on the cuff and the measurements are sent directly to a bluetooth-enabled remote monitoring device.
