Abstract

Index modulation (IM) techniques can be applied to different media in order to achieve spectral- and energy-efficient communication as well as indices of subcarriers of a generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM) data block. In this work, error performance of a GFDM-IM multi-user system is studied and shown that better error performance than classical GFDM can be achieved by employing IM to GFDM.
