Abstract

The mental health of caregivers (e.g., family) of cancer patients has significant implications. In-person models of mental health monitoring and intervention are not readily scalable to large populations and are typically cost and time prohibitive for caregivers. Smartphone technology enables the delivery of mental health interventions through personal phones, although little is known about the impact of mobile interventions on daily mood. This paper proposes an integrative mood-monitoring framework for evaluating mobile mental health interventions through passively sensed data.
