Abstract

Health IoT is a fast developing vision in which physiological signals are collected, processed and analyzed. In this paper, we proposed a new IoT approach by introducing a fog layer into the traditional IoT architecture. The fog layer enhanced the performance by executing intensive computing tasks moved from both devices and the cloud. The system is being tested by a case study about ECG signal collecting and processing in a fog layer gateway.
