Abstract

In a previous study a treatment response index from sensors (TRIS) was developed that derives objective scores on the treatment response scale (TRS), when monitoring Parkinson's disease (PD) motor states. This paper presents the preliminary results from a validation study. The results show that the TRIS has good ability to score PD motor states on the TRS, when compared to movement disorder experts' subjective ratings, and the predictive performance of TRIS to predict TRS in the validation study is similar to the predictive performance in the original study.
