Abstract

This paper demonstrates a novel platform for low weight molecule detection by plasmon coupling system on the real-time surface plasmon resonance (SPR) tool. State-of-the-art SPR sensors transduce the change of bulk molecular attachment by monitoring a shift of minimum absorption peak at specific angle. However, the commercialized SPR tool is limited to high weight adsorbate such as protein, bacteria, and tumor-derived cells. Here, we show the diagnostic platform by the plasmonic coupling of SPR and localized SPR configuration, thus possibly enabling to monitor the dynamic nature of binding tumor-specific DNA and RNA with controlling the plasmon resonance frequency.
