Session: Pharmaceutical Engineering for Smart Drug Delivery Systems

Abstract

A liquid-gallium based nanoformulation is developed for co-delivery of a membrane-associated cytokine (TRAIL) and an intracellular-acting small-molecule drug (CDDP) to overcome drug-resistance in cancer cells. This fully biodegradable nanocarrier could intracellularly transform into therapeutic agent Ga (III) ions to facilitate to reverse drug resistance and to promote anticancer efficacy.
