Abstract

EEG is extensively used to study the mechanism of decline in brain function during aging. In this paper, we compared typical indexes of EEG microstate between normal elderly group and youth group in resting state, i.e. amplitude, duration, frequency, coverage, to investigate the effect of normal aging on the brain function. Significant differences were found between these two groups. The study may provide an important reference for the research of brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases in the future.
