Urinary incontinence during nursing care, especially for elderly individuals, is considered as a major challenge. A mathematical model for calculating residual urine levels in the bladder is expected to help in creating novel methods for predicting the intervals between voids. We attempted to establish a simple mathematical model for residual urine levels in the bladder from the point of view of water metabolism, by focusing on the physical characteristics of osmosis.
