Abstract

The long term outcome of Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery remains nowadays unsatisfactory. A re-occlusion of the graft is experienced in 10-15% of clinical cases after just few months. We propose an extensive study of this phenomenon by implementing two mathematical models: a heuristic Dynamical System (DS), and a stochastic Agent Based Model (ABM). We replicated the clinical evidences and we cross-validated the two models in order to add the degree of accuracy given by the ABM to a simplified model such as the DS.
