Abstract

Multidisciplinary teams (MDT) are essential components of contemporary cancer care. Tumor boards provide a multidisciplinary expert approach to patients in a setting where all pertinent information can be reviewed and assessed to synthesize the treatment plan for a particular patient. The sequence and presentation of information (linear model, hierarchical) and the availability and accessibility to varying types of data across modalities impacts diagnostic agreement as well as unexplained discrepancies between radiologic imaging and findings and related pathologic diagnosis.
