We present a new methodology that uses integrated data-analytics, modeling, and simulation (IDAMS) along with domain expertise to study the Hepatitis-C Viral (HCV) cascade of care (CoC). Specifically, we reify important processes and structures underpinning the cascade, identify essential determinants of the cascade (e.g., dropout rates of patients with certain disease and demographic characteristics) leading to an improved model of the CoC. We expect our approach to result in a systematic way to explore interventions at different points of care that can help retain patients in the cascade and thus improve cure rates.
